... is not such a good date after all.
Today is a mixture of mild good news and nightmare!
A client wanted to withdraw their fund without adhering to the withdrawal period. They are willing to pay for the penalty. Period. Fund was supposed to be transferred to their account today, but, I got frantic 8 missed calls from them, today 5pm.
Damn. Must be serious. To my horror, they have yet to get their fund and they have already written a cheque out. Called my back end up and she said I didn't confirmed with her? But hello, you already received a black and white instruction from client for the transfer and was made known that they are willing to pay the penalty, which already indicate how urgent the fund is.
But no, she tried to push the blame to me saying she couldn't get hold of me to re-confirm. BS.
Arggh, whatever it is, I just hope the fund will reach the client tomorrow MORNING and hope the cheque don't bounce.
Pray hard pray hard pray hard.

I got the chance of meeting 2 nearly similar characters, 2 days in a row.
Both men, successful in their career, the status, the financial stability and a loving family to boot. Pretty much what most people would wish for.
But, both men, have wandering eyes. And they're not ashamed to share the ever "wonderful" stories that they had with girls with me.
Both men, discovered, yes, DISCOVERED, that as they grow older, it seems easier to get to know more ladies. In other words, ladies are more attracted to men like them. Quoted directly, girls see the maturity and stability, which indirectly, make both men utterly attractive to ladies. Ahem.
One of them, was excited that ladies are practically throwing themselves at him BUT which he exclaimed he showed no interest in them. But continued feeding me stories of raunchy encounters. In between stories, he kept denying that he's not the one experiencing it, but me thinks, bullshit.
Another of them, openly boasted, he has several girlfriends. He's married and even showed me a picture of his daughter. He too openly shared his stories and encounters, mostly about his friends and co-workers.
Both of them concluded that, MEN ARE LIKE WINE.
This is what happening in this realistic world. BUT, what's the purpose and foundation of marriage to them? Why wanna get married when you can have all the fun without restriction? Is marriage just a conformation to society's view? Is the family providing them the main backbone and the girlfriends as adventurous thrills?
I have mix feelings about the whole idea of marriage.
At FF today,
"Can I ask you a personal question?" "Yeah." "Do you have a bf?" "Got."
*awkward silence*

It's been so hot these few days. Walking to the office in the morning was terrible. Even being in the office feels hot! Guess it must be me alone to feel so in office.
Stumbling with my heavy bags again today, in the hot weather. I hope I can get a flying car. Soon. Or later. Flying car so that I can avoid the traffic jam.
Bumped into Gary, from 8TV and Lavin, at Subang Parade. They were surrounded by cameras. I was with my boss, colleague and client and suddenly they were heading my way and asking me question. I was talking crap, or should I say, speechless. Bet for sure won't be aired on TV. Haha.
Shit, lotsa mosquitoes too now! Argghhhh!!!

One fine day in office, me and my colleagues where talking about religion.
And we touched on which religion that are kinda pushy, as in, aggressively preaching and converting non-believers into believers.
One of my colleague shared with what she had experienced.
SellfishCol: I've met some Christians before that were so into their prayers that they cried on the spot.
Me: Well, that happens. They must be overwhelmed while communicating with God.
SelfishCol: But I especially don't like it when they were trying to get people to convert to them. It's like, so aggresive and keep asking you to go to their churches and etc.
Me: Well, yeah, that happens.
SelfishCol: Well, none of you are Christians right? (only 3 of us were there talking at that time)
Me: Well, I am.
SelfishCol: You are? *looking so surprised*
Me: Yeah. I'm a Catholic.
SelfishCol: But Catholics are not Christians!
Me: .... -_-. Yes, they are. We are under the same group, Christianity. There's Methodist, Anglican, Protestants and so many new groups out there, which I dunno, are under Christianity. Just thats, some of the things that they believe in, slightly differs, but most believe in Jesus Christ.
SelfishCol: No they're not, Catholics are not Christians. *with her super flawless English*
Me: Then what are they?
SelfishCol: All this while I thought Catholics are Catholics and Christians are Christians.
Me: *smile meekly*
SelfishCol: But I have friends who are Catholics as well. They are pretty cool coz they don't simply push you to go to their Churches.
Me: *just smile*
SelfishCol: And I still dunno that Catholics are Christians.
In my previous company, the payroll dept called me up to update my details and asking which religion I am in. She gave me a choice of Buddha, Christians, Catholic and others.
Me: Eh, Catholic is Christian la. Sama la tu.
Ex-Col: Huh? Yeah keh? Oh, I see.
It's so funny at times what society assume how and what things are when they don't have an inkling idea of what it is. I'm not a holy person per se, but regardless of what religion, every religion trys to teach humans the right values, morals and virtues. Me think, irregardless what religion you are or if you are freethinker, it's find, as long as our heart and mind is good. And of course, don't be an extremist like what the terrorists are doing. I wonder how they interpret the meaning of the holy book. Geez.
PKR, so called leader, Anwar, was arrested by the police this afternoon. Rumours where flying around that there might be some chaos in town by the supporters. There were also rumoured roadblocks to be conducted.
Sigh, they will surely find a million reasons to put him in jail. Not that I'm favouring for Anwar, but all this is like a free show for all. The Gov might think they are covering their asses well with all their acting, but, duh, it's like so obvious that everything is planned and conducted, above the law, to protect their interests.
Enjoy more "exciting" shows to come.

Definitely not my fashion sense malfunctioning. Hehe. Remember when I said my cupboard collapse?
It has been such a severe eyesore with the uncomfortable tightness to the chest, just by looking at the hot mess.

The aftermath of the collapse, bringing nearly everything inside, strewn on the floor and nearby it's vicinity to a total mess.
Initially wanted to get a wooden wardrobe, but seeing how expensive it is, oh well, hope the new cupboard and storage cabinet can last me for another 2 years, perhaps?
The result after one whole night of packing and tidying up.

Not perfect, but definitely soothing to the eyes. Ah, I've finally get the watch "Heroes" after hearing how good it was. And I even dreamt about some of the character last night! Creepy, but hopefully I can finish the first season soon before balik kampung this weekend.

I walk a lot. Like really really alot. I had to get myself a new shoe, like, every 3 months or less. Got myself another flat shoe today, with the purpose of walking to work. Here's the typical walk-athon I have in any random day:
10 mins: walking from home to LRT station 15-20 mins: standing, waiting for the train 15 mins: standing in the train 15-20 mins: walking from KLCC to work (varies, depending on how late I am) 15 mins: after work, go back home straight 20 mins: standing, waiting for the train 15 mins: standing inside the train 20 mins: walking, tapao dinner & breakfast and to get home If there's appointment: 15 mins: walking from office to get Irritating Person's (I shall address her as IP) car (cheaper to park in another building, hence, have to sacrifice a little bit of walking distance) add 10 mins: walking from carpark to client's office add 15 mins: if going back to office, from car park to office add 10 mins: walking from drop off point to train station (if,after appointment, to get back straight home) 30 mins: standing in the train (unlucky day) 0 min: no standing required in the train (lucky day) 10 mins: to switch train 5-10 mins: standing, waiting for another train 30 mins: standing in the train (most of the time, unlucky day) 15 mins: walking, tapao dinner & breakfast and to get home
Phew! And today there was unexceptionally long queue at KLCC LRT station. Is it true as what most people claimed? After the June 4 petrol price hike, there were less cars on the road and more people switching to public transportation? Even tapao-ing for dinner was quite a queue as well. -_-
That's life for you.
And to end my day with a bang, my cupboard collapsed just a min ago. And all my clothes are strewn on the floor. GREATTT~~~

I have a friend. Well, she's actually a nice lady.
But I realised that, I dunno if she's doing it unconsciously or consciously, she tends to tell me who and who that she knows (usually high ranking people in different organisations), what and what she has already achieved, where and where she's been to, this and that great thing that she's doing or did. And, if she happens to know someone that I know, she will always tell me to tell that person that we know that I know her as well, and to mention her big name. Or, if she knows someone in my surrounding that I do not know, she will always ask me to approach that person that she knows and that I do not know, and tell them upfront that I'm her friend and to mention her big name as well.
When she's down, oh boy, can she go on and on and on for as long as the down period is on.
Most of the time, I would just listen and try to encourage and advise her. But, sometimes...... sien lo.
What should I do?
